Hello Everyone ~
I hope you are all having fun participating in the Alphabet Countdown. Here's a fun little video of some of us getting into "J is for Jumping Jerseys Day" (with the Jump and Jive music that was provided?) Jumping (Jive Jerseys) Video link: https://youtu.be/zAcYNPkvQME Go ahead and have a laugh with this today!! Take Care ~ Mrs. Jones Happy May Everyone!
Anyone who has had library classes with me at school this year knows the Diane Alber books series I'm Not Just a Scribble, Sticks, Snippets and more. Well, I found another book by Diane Alber the other day that I absolutely had to share with you all! When I read it, I knew that we could use this message and make a little project out of it. (Luckily Mrs. Vitulli liked the idea too!) So, I did a video read aloud of the book for you to watch, Here is a link: A Little SPOT of Kindness reading: https://youtu.be/60EUZtcBUJU We loved this kindness message so much that I wanted to spread it around as much as I could. This is a good idea because, even though we cannot be at school together right now....we CAN still spread a ton of SPOTS of KINDNESS around, as a team from St. Patrick School, throughout our community. Keep an eye out in your actual (outside) mailbox for a bright envelope coming this week. Hopefully it makes you smile a little bit and you will accept the SPOTS of Kindness challenge. Send in any photos or videos of your kindness acts please. I absolutely cannot wait to see and hear what you do! Take care guys!! Mrs. Jones This week I decided to try something I have always wanted to do, I made a stop motion video! I had some stones in the garage that we collected from Lake Michigan a LONG time ago, I found some paint in my craft room and away I went! Check it out and let me know what you think. I am hoping to make a lesson for us to do in IDEA Lab with this, so more to come later. I couldn't wait to share this with everyone!! Hope it makes you smile! Take care ~
Hello Everyone!
Mrs. Trygar, Mrs. Floyd and I made up this poem for you. It's kinda silly, but we hope you like it!! Here's a link to the whole (SPS Strong) video: https://youtu.be/x8xo3RRD-oQ Hey IDEA Lab Students!
I wanted to share this video with you that I put together. It has some of the exploding sticks videos of the work that we did at school in it, AND also some other things I tried. Here is the link for you to watch. https://youtu.be/lwgHu3hYaKA I am also, including a couple of photos, in case you happen to have some crafts sticks available to you at home. Maybe you want to try this out or share it with your family while you are home. Remember the starting part was the trickiest part, so don't get frustrated!! If you have any comments or something you tried, (chain reaction) share it with me PLEASE! Send me an email, I would love to hear from you!! Take care ~ Mrs. Jones Here is a link to the video instructions for doing the #AwesomeSquiggles2020 Project. https://youtu.be/z_gRVNFonSs After you finish making one (of more?!) please be sure to share back to me with a photo or a video explaining what your inspirations were, so that I can put them all together. Also, put your name and class on the back only, Hopefully when we get back to school, we can make a nice big display for all to view! I cannot wait to see what you all make!! Take care ~ Mrs. Jones
Looks like we may be staying home here a little while??
Here's a link to the whole (We Miss You) video: https://youtu.be/6-MVK0igoQg We made a narrative video of the third grade #awesomeSquiggles2019 project. Here is the link so you can watch it. (Turn up the volume, so you can hear them talking!)
youtu.be/WLXJNzTl2hg We participated in a global challenge called #AwesomeSquiggles2019, where the students were given a set of 4 'squiggles' on a page and we asked them to make it into something. Some made four separate pictures and some had a vision to make one main design. This was really awesome and SO fun to see what they came up with! They did such a great job, we will absolutely be doing this again when it comes around again in spin 2020! |
